Technique, Scratch and Eclectisism : these are the words to best describe Max Durante, veteran DJ and music producer of Planet Rome and one of the most respected Italian djs.
Max first encounter with electronic music was in the 80s through Kraftwerk. Electro and Hip Hop became Max first passion, his introduction to deejaying, and he started scratching and cutting in1985. Max Durantes dj sets are both inspired and inspiring, the reason he has been named "the wizard of the decks" by his fans.

- In 2002 THE WIRE ''the English magazine of avant-garde'' named him the most interesting DJ in Europe and the best artist during the BIOS festival in Athens (Greece).
In 1991/92, together with the D'Arcangelo brothers, he produced his first records on Hot Trax (an ACV sub-label - the first Italian techno label). Since then he has produced more than 25 records and he has realized around 100 tracks on various international labels. He reached the first place in the DMC English chart with his parallel record project called MEKA on the Some Bizarre records, the legendary English label that has launched DEPECHE Mode, MARC ALMOND, Cabaret VOLTAIRE, etc.
Max has collaborated and co-produced records with some of the foremost artists of the international electronic scene like Dj Hell, Anthony Rother, Keith Tucker, AUX88, Prefuse 73, Alexander Robotnick, among others.
