Alex Cortex, though still in his late twenties, is one of the german producers who have made their mark already in the mid-nineties, releasing some of the most brilliant techno on various labels, for example Kanzleramt, Klang Elektronik, Baby Ford s PAL SL, Out To Lunch, Source Records, and Ann Aimee. His productions range from driving techno to soulful ambient-electronica, showing a musicality only few are capable of.

Nowadays he is involved in the Pathmusick netlabel and had an ongoing production collaboration with acclaimed artist Lopazz with releases on labels like Get Physical, Output, and Lasergun. Alex has been DJing and playing live-gigs since 1996 in many places, touring in Germany, France, Switzerland, Netherlands, Spain, UK, and Mexico.
In 2007, after 2 years of releasing his material almost exclusively on netlabels Alex Cortex joined the Platzhirsch and Pomelo labels. "Re-Tubed", "Skyle" and "Shadow Key" are best examples of Alex impressive production skills.
